Dr. King was a very considerate man, in 1963 he was nominated Man of The Year for a TIME magazine cover. He never cave up on what he wanted. He continued with his dreams to make the world a better place. Even after he was stabbed in the chest, his house was bombed, and he had numerous personal attacks. He kept going, he didn't give up on his dreams. So for that he a very, VERY respected man.
If I were to describe his American Dream in my own words I would have to say that he wanted equality, he wanted change. Not just a little change like, blacks are allowed on buses, no. He wanted everything to change, he wanted the same rights as others had, for everyone to be treated the same. If whites had a drinking fountain, he wanted to be able to walk up to that drinking fountain and take a drink without being arrested. He wanted to be able to get on a bus, and sit where he wanted to, not where he was told. He wanted to make the same amount of money and spend it on what he pleases. If he wanted to eat at a restaurant, he could. I cant describe his dream, but that's what I feel his dream would be like.
He was thrown in jail for standing up for what he believes in, the people who took him away thought he was wrong and his way of thinking was just a waste of time. While getting to achieve his dream, he hosted a bus boycott, the biggest boycott in history. The "blacks" had to walk everywhere they went, which made them tired. Or if some of them were lucky they could get a ride from a friend or family.
In my words I would have to say his way of making his dream a reality was, holding boycotts, making speech's. The one that got through to almost everyone was his "I Have A Dream" speech. It was so heartfelt, and inspiring. It described how they can and should make a change for the greater good for the future. If it weren't for him, I don't think much would have changed.
I learned from Martin Luther King Jr. that, If someone gave me respect and treated me nicely, do the same, Even when others are cruel, kill them with kindness, be the bigger person. He dreamed of a better tomorrow.

The contract

1. What was the mother's purpose for creating the iPhone contract?
To make sure her son doesn't become reliable to his smart phone and still experiences life to the fullest.

2. Which item of the contract do you feel is the most reasonable? Explain.
Number 6, because if he breaks or damages the phone than it is his responsibility to fix it.

3. Which item of the contract do you feel is the most extreme? Explain.
Number 4. Teens are supposed to have their phone with them at all times. What if something happened to him or one of his friends and you or he wouldn't know about it fast enough.

4. Create one additional item you would add to this contract, if you were Gregory's mother. Explain why this addition is important.
19. I'm not going to go through your personal texts, pictures, or web history. I trust you enough to not disobey my rules and if you do I want you to come forward about it.

Cody and Dad

Dad: So Cody hows it coming with the school?
Cody:....Not very good.
Dad: How so?
Cody: I keep falling into the spot light.
Dad: Mind telling me how?
Cody: Well first coach Dinatelli kept calling me teacup because I had to wear a girls gym uniform, then pogo stick and his goons were pushing me and Frank furter into lockers, so I ended up beating them up but they covered for me and said they were playing "bench wars"...they are making me help them now.
Dad: What no girls?
Cody:...Well there is one her name is Renee Carringten and her sister knows Andy the neighbor.
Dad: Andy?
Cody: Yeah, hes the army ranger next door. His little brother Albert and him have their own little gym.
Dad: I'm guessing you get along well.
Cody: Yeah, he even saw that this guy in a ski mask carry a metal box out of the ground.
Dad: Man in a ski mask?
Cody: I heard a noise and went to go check it out, outside. I saw someone in a ski mask get out a box out of the ground.
Dad: Cody...I have to go.
Cody: Okay bye da-...

My Family

I'm thankful for my family, and not just my blood family I also mean my friends. Even if we aren't particularly related they are still my family, in my heart. The are always be here for me when I need them, even if I annoy them sometimes, get on their nerves they always love me. We fight, sure, but who doesn't? We aren't perfect, no where near it, and I think that's what bring us together, our in differences make us who we are. I love each and every one of them, they are what keep me sane. I will always be there for them, no matter what.
If I ever needed somewhere to go, I know they would take me in. They are the kindest people I know, honestly. We are different, weird, but we ARE family. We have stuck by each other through the good and the bad, they have seen me at my worst and my best. We make fun of each other, we get butt hurt, but then we make up.
I honestly don't care if we fight, I know it would be over something stupid, we will make up, just like a real family would. So this is why I'm thankful I always have my weird, crazy, fun, dysfunctional family on my side. I love you guys <3

Bullying

Bullying is when one person does something to purposely hurt another person. Such as if a student attacks another in the hallway, it can be either physical bullying or mental/emotional bullying. Emotional/mental bullying is probably worse than physical bullying. Physical bullying just leaves marks such as bruises, scars, but emotional/ mental bullying cuts deeper. It can change the way you feel, look at yourself, trust in others, your personality, and ruin your self confidence.

I think that people bully others because they want to feel better about themselves, or make others just feel terrible about themselves. Their home life might not be the greatest, they may not have enough confidence in themselves, so they feel they need to drag others down with them. Then again, people may just be cruel and do it for their own entertainment.

If more kids start going to adults or someone they trust if they are being bullied, then maybe the bullying rate would go down. But some kids don't want others to know about their bullying, they are often scared of what might happen to them if they do tell. If a teacher or an adult see a kid who's always sad or anything of that sort and just talk with them, or send them to the councilor. Or assign a student they trust to ask whats been going on. But that might back fire on the student for telling.

The Truth Behind A Smile

You say you're happy, you say you're fine.
But really, what happens when that smile gets left behind.
What are you supposed to do when, when you can't hide.
You're left there by yourself, you're happiness fried.
Sure time will heal all that's hurt, but until then just pretend.
Until you return, why can't time just bend?
Bring back the happy times, put them back in the file.
Please, can't you just bring back my smile?
