1. What was the mother's purpose for creating the iPhone contract?

2. Which item of the contract do you feel is the most reasonable? Explain.

3. Which item of the contract do you feel is the most extreme? Explain.

4. Create one additional item you would add to this contract, if you were Gregory's mother. Explain why this addition is important.

     The mothers purpose for creating the contact was to make sure her son wasn't doing anything he wasn't supposed to on his phone, and to regulate the time he had on it. 

     I thought the rule about no inappropriate content was fairly reasonable... But that usually goes without saying. 

     I think the rule saying that it had to be turned off at 7:00 and couldn't be taken to school was a bit over the top.. That means you only have like 5 hours to be on it each day, 6 on weekends. Once you start a conversation with someone, you don't want to tell them that you have to go because your time limit with your phone is up. Its a bit childish, even if he is only thirteen.

     If I had to add an additional rule to the mothers contract, I would say that only you were allowed to have it. If something happened to it, and it wasn't you, you would still get blamed for it. It could get broken, or even get dropped in the toilet... I speak from personal experience.

     I think the contract was overall a good idea. Some of the rules I couldn't agree more with. Others I think are just pointless. His mother did know what she was doing when she bought him that phone. 

The American Dream

     Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an amazing man who suffered being jailed over twenty times, being stabbed in the chest, and a horrible bombing to his own home.  Yet he didn't believe in violence to solve any sort of problem. 
     The American Dream said that all men were to be treated equal.  That is what Dr. King was trying to overcome; segregation.  It also says that men are "endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights."  Those rights include; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 
     Standing in the way of achieving this dream is that all people think the same way.  Most everyone needs to agree when we do something drastic.  Everyone is opinionated. 
     Dr. King delivers ideas that support how we can achieve this dream.  He said that everyone needs to develop a world perspective.  This means to set a good reputation for the US.  Think about how people foreign to the United States would see us. 
     Dr. King has taught us so much and I still have a lot to learn from him.  He has made us aware of many things around the world, let alone the United States.  There are so many possibilities that the next American Dream could be.  Along with those come a variety of outcomes.  Which is why we need to take into consideration of how others see us. 

The Boring Life Of Cody Seran

Dad: Hi Cody, how are you?
Cody: Good.
Dad: Hows school?
Cody: Its stupid!  I don't even think the sloppy joe was edible.  And in gym, Coach Dinatelli makes me wear a girls uniform when we play flag football.  And the Spanish teacher doesn't even know how to speak Spanish. 
Dad: Oh, well did you make any new friends?
Cody: The neighbors Andy and Albert are pretty cool.  Andy is an Army Ranger and has a home gym.  And these kids named Frankfurter and Renee go to school with me.  And I guess pogo stick is my friend to... Even though I broke his nose playing "bench wars". 
Dad: So anything else happen lately?
Cody: The other night in the woods I saw a man in a ski mask pick up a metal box...
Dad: Oh!  Very interesting...

What I'm Thankful For.

I'm thankful for my friends and family because without them I wouldn't be who I am now.  They help me through everything and are always there for me.

Bullying

Bullying is a waste of time and just not worth it.  It hurts peoples feelings and make them feel like they aren't worth anything.  A few examples of bulling is physical abuse, verbal abuse, posting mean things on Facebook, or anything over the internet.  I could go on forever.
     People do it for their own benefit.  Possibly they think it will make them fit in or be part of a "crowd". They could do it because they are having problems at home with their family, they used to get bullied, often the think they are better than everyone, or just because they have no better way of wating their time.
     Stopping bullying isn't an easy task, Bullies are often mean.  But it is possible.  Making a page on Facebook is an excellent way of spreading the word. Supporting Anti-Bullying month is a great way of show support also.  If you see someone getting bullied in the halls, in your neighborhood, anywhere.  Try to stop it, it's not always easy, but it will work eventually.  We can't stop everyone from bullying, but the more people we stop, the safer our community will be.

Finding Nemo

When Coral passed away,
Nemo and his dad had to stay.
Nemo loved the school he did go,
Did Marlin like it? Of course, no.
Off he went to touch the butt,
In terror his eyes did shut.
Nemo stayed with the dentist,
While Marlin found an apprentice.
When Nemo met his new friends, his face turned green.
Although they weren't too keen...
Marlin met a shark,
In the cave they stayed, it was dark.
Marlin and Dory rode the current,
The turtles smart? They sure weren't.
Meeting Darla was an adventure,
The dentist gave the old man a denture.
Into the ocean in a baggie they fled,
At this point Marlin thought his son was dead.
Looking for each other, the ocean they were skimming,
They found each other singing "Don't stop swimming."
